Find all 10 solution words using as few hints as possible. You form each word by clicking/tapping on the purple boxes and then clicking/tapping on the 'Enter' button to submit the word.
Each of the 9 purple boxes contains a bigram (i.e., a pair of letters) or a single letter. Seven of purple boxes contain bigrams, and the other two purple boxes contain single letters. To solve the puzzle, find all ten solution words that can be formed using one or more of the 9 bigrams/letters.
A bigram/letter can be used multiple times for a solution word. You'll need to use each of the nine bigrams/letters least once to find all ten solution words. All ten solution words have at least 4 letters and at most 12 letters. At least two of the 10 solution words will have 6 or more letters.
To find all 10 solution words, you'll probably need some hints (see the Hint Button section below). I designed the puzzle to be challenging for lovers of word games; I often need a few hints to find all 10 solution words. Without using hints, a new player will probably find the game a bit daunting.

The following subsections describe the 6 white buttons that appear below the 9 purple boxes.
If you click/tap on a bigram/letter in a purple box and realize that it was a mistake, you can undo it by clicking/tapping on the white 'Undo' button. You can click/tap on the white 'Undo' multiple times.
If you want to re-scramble the 9 bigrams/letters, click/tap the white 'Scramble' button.
Once you've assembled a word by clicking/tapping on bigrams/letters, click/tap the white 'Enter' button to submit the word.
You can display a hint using the white 'Hint' button. If you click/tap the white 'Hint' button, you'll be prompted to CONFIRM or CANCEL.
A hint is displayed as follows: one or more of the 9 purple boxes will highlighted by changing the color from purple to blue; one of the undiscovered solution words can be formed by clicking/tapping these highlighted boxes. To form the hinted solution word, you'll need to click/tap on all the blue boxes one or more times. (And you'll need to click/tap on the white 'Enter' button to submit the word that you formed using the blue boxes.)
The blue boxes will remain highlighted until you find a new word or until you request another hint. If you cannot figure out the word for a hint, then you may request a new hint.
It's possible that two or more of the 10 solution words will have the same hint (i.e., the same set of blue boxes).
You can load a new puzzle using the white 'New Puzzle' button. If you click/tap the white 'New Puzzle' button, you'll be prompted to CONFIRM or CANCEL; if you select CANCEL, then you'll resume the current puzzle.
In previous versions of Bigrams, you could load a new puzzle by refreshing the web page. Now you must use the white 'New Puzzle' button to load a new puzzle.
You can let your friends know that you're playing Bigrams (e.g., via text, email, etc.), by clicking/tapping the white 'Share ⁖' button.
If you guess a word that is not in Bigram's dictionary, then you'll see a red error message (e.g., "'abcde' is not in my dictionary.").
The Bigrams dictionary includes common American English words; note that the dictionary does not include proper nouns, obscene/offensive words, abbreviations, hyphenated words, words with apostrophes, etc. All the words in the dictionary have at least 4 letters and at most 12 letters. The dictionary includes plural nouns. The dictionary is still missing some common words because we've been prioritizing the removal of obsure words.
Comments about the dictionary are welcome!
When you enter one of the 10 solution words, the word will be added to the Word List below the white buttons. The words in the Word List are sorted and include no duplicates.
